After completing his education, Neil performed in venues across Manhattan and the broader NYC area. He collaborated with keyboardist Peter Schott, writing music for television commercials and developing animated series, including The Bugs, Frik & Frak, and Deadbeats.
His solo recording career launched with New York Fool in 2018, an album capturing the contradictions and energy of New York City. Since then, he has released Human Nature (2019), Water (2020), Sliver Park (2021), For Sale (2021), Typo (2022), The New Math (2023), The Atomic Robot (2024), and The Black & White Singles (2025-26).
